Worked example
This example uses the same calculation as the form. Enter your values and select “Calculate” to see your result.
Example inputs
- Customer acquisition cost (CAC): 3000
- Contribution per customer: 1000
- Target period: month
Example result
- Payback periods: 3
- Customer acquisition cost: RUB 3,000
- Contribution profit: RUB 1,000
- The result is a count of the selected periods, not a date.
- Payback cannot be reached when contribution per period is zero or negative.
- Compare the period count with the customer’s actual lifetime; the customer must remain active long enough to recover CAC.
- The period is stated explicitly; a month, week, and year produce different values.
Formulas and units
